a lone guy casually dressed with no tie knocked on the door and my son took him for a salesman , didnt answer the door and he soon left , he also noticed he put something in our letterbox as he left.. checking it out it was a flyer for the jehovahs witness convention which is a good 4-4 and a half hour drive from here where i live.. do they honestly think a householder who lives close to 4-5 hours away is going to go to a religous convention , when they have continously rejected the message in their own home town ?.
ok , so they are thinking , its advertising the convention to a far wider community in the state..... excuse me ?.
this particular convention is being held at etihad stadium in melbourne in oct.what has happened in previous conventions around australia , newspapers print special edditions to assemblys covering such conventions , however the rest of the state gets zero exposure to the assembly.. however the gullible rank and file think what a grand witness has been given with all this publicity .

@Smiddy, I would be interested to know if they will give those invites out all over Australia. That would truly prove that it's just pointless busywork. Like anyone would travel from somewhere like Mt Isa for a cult meeting! Even diehard Jws would find that challenging

The Facebook group "Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Songs" which is an apostate group which ironically full of Nigerian JWs has been going nuts with this stuff. The active JWs have been quoting it at us apostates since yesterday. It's really sinking in for these guys. Watch to see how many more of you who are just inactive or fading be shunned.

It is reprehensible. Even when I was a Jw I was sickened by their education bashing. I would tell the kids to get educated and then pioneer if they wanted to. As I would tell the kids: pioneering doesn't pay the bills.

The problem was not with the gender per se but with the fact that she had to be quiet while she was being abused. It draws on the knowledge that the JWs have of pioneers, that they are exemplary Christians, but she finds out he is not what he appears to be. She could never have known at that age...definitely not an attack on the male gender. Only as female, I best write from a woman's perspective.

That's great!! We have a huge push to get kids educated here in Australia, to the point where they leave school with a business certificate or half an apprenticeship if they aren't going to uni. I bet the JWs hate all the emphasis our schools put on preparing the kids for the workforce.
therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
